2nd Annual Santa Comes to Connie!

Before Santa made it to the AHM KSHB 41 NBC Action News Meteorologist, Brett Anthony, invited us to come promote the event on the Monday, November 15 Midday News show.  We had a great time, as you can see!

Then just a few days later on Saturday the 20th, Santa and Mrs. Clause did arrive as promised. Their save travel was assured by none other than Lord Vader himself and the Imperial Troops as well as Rebel Forces who join forces just for Santa!

A great time was had by all!

DC-3 Update 11.2.10

Lots of winners at the polls yesterday but also a "winner" right here in the AHM Hangar.  Another step in restoration process of the DC-3 took place when the team swung the gear.  The props have been back for awhile from their overhaul and the first overhauled engine should be back by the end of this week.  The second engine overhaul will have to wait until the funds are raised to make that happen.  All together the estimated completion will cost about $60,000. Check out the two following videos from yesterday's action. Gear up....

Salute to Aviation 8.21.10

Long overdue, we finally honored our co-founders, Larry Brown and Dick McMahon.  The ceremony is captured here in this excellent video from Speed of Flight!

And also long awaited (and from Speed of Flight), a four engine run of our Lockheed Constellation. As you will see, #4 engine was having some challenges so you will hear more about that as the guys dig in to see what was and wasn't happening. Don Browett seems to be enjoying the breeze!
