Here at the museum tonight for Elle's glamour shots with the downtown KCMO skyline taken by the fantastic member photographers from Speed of Flight, Jeff Billings and Marty Williams.

Last night a group of us hung around for the arrival of Spooky, the AC-47 from Topeka.  Spooky needed a place out of the elements for her annual, so she and her crew members will be in our hangar for a few weeks.  That is why the Connie is really snugged up to the Martin right now.  It's always nice to have visitors!

Here comes Spooky!

While Miss Elle still can, her engines were fired up and she did a little taxi out and back as part of a documentary that will be incorporated in the education program that is a work in progress.  The great Speed of Flight team is doing this work for us, as well as a bunch of volunteers freezing on the ramp and a crew in the plane.  Will be exciting to see the results.
