Trying out the sim
AHM BOD Member, full-time volunteer and pilot/flight instructor, Marty Glaze takes the simulator "out for a spin" while volunteer/pilot, Mitch Welch, observes and plays a critical role. You'll see.
-
The panel
Currently located in the hangar next to the hangar/museum door, the simulator will soon be re-located to a climate controlled environment in the museum.
-
Mitch's crucial role . . .
. . . holding the led light so Marty can see! Once this simulator has an FAA sign off, it can be used to log 20% of flight time. In any case, it is a great tool for flight instruction.
-
The beginning of the move
Marty Glaze is on the forklift and the rest of the guys are accessing the possibilities that this will work!
-
The plan
Larry Henak looking up at the area the sim will be lifted to....if.....the opening Rodger Johnson is standing on turns out to be large enough for it to fit through!
-
Jockeying for position
Marty begins the process of backing up and out the doors to get into position for raising the sim through the opening.
-
-
In position in what was formerly known as the radio room.
Yes, Rodger really is very tall.
