Over 26,000 square feet of potential usable event space indoors--heated in the winter, subject to outside conditions during warm months.  Museum, lobby, gift shop and conference rooms are air-conditioned, hangar is not.

Accommodates groups of all sizes—from small private events to groups of over 2,000!

We have an open policy on catering and/or liquor services used, it is your choice.  However we are also please to recommend Brancato Event Services as our Preferred Vendor.  Click here to see our letter of recommendation.

Free parking—lot directly adjacent to the Museum as well as additional parking on Lou Holland drive during the evening hours.

Unique event ambience ranging from an undecorated working hangar with planes to elaborate lighting and draping possibilities. The AHM staff will work with your event decorator via a general description of the décor submitted as a written request for approval that becomes part of the rental agreement.

Night or day, the most dramatic view of downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

Our staff works with you, your vendors, etc. during the pre-event process and are onsite during the event.

Additional Available Options:

Tours of the Museum and aircraft during your event are available for an additional fee by our knowledgeable, enthusiastic volunteer guides.  An additional option is The Clipped Wings, former hostesses dressed in the uniforms they each wore during their careers  (they even offer varying lengths of fashion shows).   Both are subject to availability.

Stage: The AHM has 4’ x 8’ stage sections that can be configured any number of ways (see diagram in this section) —no delivery or set-up fee.
